White Like Me is a film that we watched in class that starred a man called Jim Wise who is an American anti-racism activist and writer. In the film he talks about his experiences and opinions of white privilege. His parents were pretty serious about exposing him to race at a young age and put him into a predominantly black school. Later he looked back at his experience and even realized that because he was white he was treated differently than a black student. I do not personal know what he talks about in the film because all the schools that I have attended have been predominantly white, but I do hear and understand and feel what he is saying and I believe, I have just never experienced it first hand.
