In class we watched a film called "Klansville USA" which talked all about the rise of the Klu Klux Klan in the middle of the civil rights movement. the films main focus was on the leadership of Bob Jones and the impact he made on the organization, growing the Klan to 10,000 members. the Klan is known by everyone for its violence and hatred for the the blacks. during this era while Jones was Grand Dragon it was not about violence or hatred, but more about being heard and making a push for everything to remain the way it was. the Klu Klux Klan believed that the blacks are and were the reason for the destruction of the nation, but couldn't ever believe that they were the ones that tore the nation apart.
